The holidays are a time for celebration, and in Summit County, Colorado there are tons of ways to celebrate the holidays! From the annual Ullr Fest in Breckenridge to the Frisco Wassil Days, there is something for everyone. As we enter fire season, we should all be aware of the dangers posed by wildfires in Colorado’s high country as precipitation in Summit County is lower than the 30-year median. This summer will likely be considered under drought conditions like in recent years, according to the Summit Daily. Readying your home and surrounding land for wildfire season is imperative to prevent the spread of fire in your neighborhood should a wildfire occur.

Summit County, Colorado, like many other ski counties around the country, is experiencing a shortage of long-term rentals and affordable homes for residents who work in the county. While this issue is not unique to Summit County, the way in which each ski town responds to the issue will be.
