As we enter fire season, we should all be aware of the dangers posed by wildfires in Colorado’s high country as precipitation in Summit County is lower than the 30-year median. This summer will likely be considered under drought conditions like in recent years, according to the Summit Daily. Readying your home and surrounding land for wildfire season is imperative to prevent the spread of fire in your neighborhood should a wildfire occur.

What a winter it was! As the weather gets warmer and the snow melts away, it’s time to look back at the Summit County real estate market in the first quarter of 2022. What a year 2021 was! Can you believe we’re already three weeks into 2022? Looking back at the year that was, it’s no surprise that real estate sales were through the roof in Summit County. We’ve seen a rise in property value across the country and a desire for many working remotely to move to the mountains.While our mountain communities are finding solutions to the housing shortage and staffing issues, we tried to adapt to the new normal of 2021. While this issue is not unique to Summit County, the way in which each ski town responds to the issue will be.
