Summer is truly a magical time or year in Summit County, Colorado. Our beautiful sunshine and mild temperatures lend themselves perfectly to a plethora of events and activities. The Summit County community takes advantage of this time of year by hosting a wide variety of events, and there is something for everyone! Check out the schedule below and enjoy the best of Summit County's mountain summer!

Summit County plays host to a wide array of incredible events and festivals against the spectacular backdrop of the Ten Mile Range.Save 

JUNE 23-24

Head to Keystone's Bacon and Bourbon Festival for this 8th annual event. Try a famous Bacon Bloody Mary while enjoying free live music all weekend! Tickets range from $20-$50 and can be purchased here.

The Timberline Cruiser Regatta takes place in Frisco on June 23. This sailboat race is open to all sailors and features awards for costumes and creativity. The cost is $35 per boat for up to four people. Head to Frisco Bay Marina on Friday, June 22 from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. or Saturday, June 23 from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. for registration.

Attack of the Big Beers Fest takes place at Copper Mountain Resort June 22-24. This Second Annual event features beers brewed with high original gravity, free live music, films by local filmmakers, and grilled cheese samples! For more information and to purchase tickets, visit their site!


Dillon’s Summer Concert Series features free Friday and Saturday night concerts that are perfect for a date night or a family affair. They take place weekly from 7-9 p.m. at the Dillon Amphitheater. Check out the summer lineup here.


Get your adrenaline pumping and celebrate America's independence at the Breckenridge Independence Day Celebration with a 10K trail run or a 50-mile bike race in our scenic mountains. Or, simply come out to enjoy the Main Street Parade which begins at 10 a.m. Kids’ water activities, pony rides, and street art festivities will take place throughout the afternoon. Hopefully, the fireworks will be shot off over the lake if weather and restructions permit.

Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July Parade is also a hit! Head to Main Street at 12:30 p.m. to check out floats, bikes, horses, and cars all decked out to celebrate America!


The Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival features over 40 breweries, live music, and food vendors. It takes place at Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. Tickets ranging from general admission ($5 for music only) to VIP experiences ($75) can be purchased here. $35 gets you unlimited beer tastings.

The Big Mountain Enduro is a can’t-miss for rugged biking enthusiasts. Located at the Keystone Bike Park, this event features multiple categories for men and women. The festival is held throughout the day in Keystone Village and includes food, beer, and massage services whether you ride or not! Visit here to register.

JULY 7-8

The Copper Mountain Music Festival promises an exciting night of bluegrass and Americana music. The lineup includes talents such as Langhorne Slim & the Law, Jerry Douglas, and John Fullbright, among many others. Fireworks will be held on Saturday night (fire restrictions permitting).


The Kidtopia Kidzfest in Keystone is a free family event from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. A bubble foam pit, pony rides, balloon artists, and bounce houses ensure a fun time. Beach Party is the theme so prepare to get wet!

Kid’s Discovery Days are run on select Wednesdays in June, July, and August. The fun starts at 11 a.m. with shows, music, and crafts for kids of all ages. Check out the full lineup here.


The Frisco Triathlon features stand-up paddle boarding, mountain biking, and trail running. The race starts at 9 a.m. and competitors of all skill levels are welcome. To be added to the waitlist for this popular event, visit the site here.

JULY 14-15

The Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival in River Run Village has over 300 varieties of wine, educational wine seminars, and free live jazz music. Tickets range from $25-$100 and can be purchased here.

Under Armour’s Mountain Running Series takes place on July 14 and has 5K, 10K, 25K, and 50K races. Explore the beautiful Colorado mountains with 35 miles of trails. To register and for more information, visit their site.

JULY 21-22

The Children’s Hospital Courage Classic is a great event that raises money for Children’s Hospital Colorado. With more than 2,000 riders, this event allows cyclists to take in the beautiful trails around Copper Mountain while supporting a worthy cause. Ride, donate, volunteer, or sponsor here!

JULY 27-29

The Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival is held at Main Street Station Plaza and The Village at Breckenridge. Enjoy your choice of 300 varieties of wine while enjoying the mountain scenery with friends and family. There will be live music and food available to round out the experience. Get your tickets now!

JULY 28-29

Copper Mountain’s Mac and Cheese Fest is a must! This family-friendly affair features an eating competition, kids’ activities, and live entertainment. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance.

The Keystone River Run Art Festival is a free event featuring 80 artists from across the country. The event takes place from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.


The 13th Annual Copper Triangle is an alpine cycling classic. Road cycling fanatics won’t want to miss out on this high alpine course experience. Lunch and refreshments will be provided as well as prizes and entertainment. Register here!

The 22nd annual Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival is a popular event featuring beer from over 40 different craft breweries and 14 different bluegrass bands. Join the fun at Colorado’s longest-running beer and bluegrass festival by purchasing tickets here.

AUGUST 10-11

The Copper Mountain Aspen to Snowmass Ragnar Relay promises breathtaking views as teams of runners journey through six Colorado towns. Sign up your team now!

AUGUST 10-12

Enjoy performances by guitar legends at Copper Mountain’s Guitar Town festivities. This special event features guitar workshops and a guitar center garage. Check out the schedule and full list of performers.

AUGUST 11-12

The 12th Annual Main Street to the Rockies Art Festival is a free outdoor art show on Main Street in Frisco. Over 80 artists will display sculptures, paintings, jewelry, photography, and much more!

AUGUST 10-19

The Breckenridge International Festival of Arts is a 10-day program that showcases art inspired by Colorado’s mountain culture. Featuring dance, music, and film, there is something to please everyone. More information can be found here.

AUGUST 17-18

The 5th Annual Keystone Mountain Town Music Festival is a great way to celebrate the remaining days of summer under the Colorado blue sky with music, drinks, and the scenery of Keystone’s mountain community. Food and goods vendors will line the streets as you listen to free live music.

AUGUST 17-19

The Copper Crush Wine Festival features samplings from top Colorado wineries and educational seminars. This is “Not Your Mother’s Wine Fest,” and features entertainment and activities. Tickets range from $10-$45 and can be purchased here.

AUGUST 18-19

The Breckenridge Spartan Race is a great way to get active as summer days come to an end. There is an open category for anyone just looking to have some fun and an elite category for more serious competitors. Register now to avoid missing out on the action!


The 11th Annual Free Frisco Family Fun Fair is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Frisco Adventure Park. This popular event is sure to delight children with bouncy castles, a climbing wall, balloon animals, face painting, and more! Food and drink vendors will be on the scene and live music will play all day.

AUGUST 24-25

The Breckenridge Hogfest featuring Bacon and Bourbon will take place at Main Street Station and The Village at Breckenridge. On Friday there is a VIP Bourbon Pairing Dinner and on Saturday is the grand tasting. Enjoy multiple samples of liquors and pork while listening to live music. The Copper Mountain Cider Circus is a cider lover’s paradise. It features over 75 craft ciders and beers from cider houses and breweries. There are multiple pricing options depending on your preference and range from $25-$50.


Copper Country is a free concert and music festival and a popular Labor Day tradition. It’s a perfect event for the entire family. Also featured is a fine arts exhibition, kids’ arts and crafts, and music starts at noon on Saturday and Sunday.


The Taste of Keystone is another great Memorial Day weekend event showcasing Keystone’s best cuisine! It takes place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Lakeside Village in Keystone. Live music and kids’ activities ensure a fun time for all.


The Breckenridge Oktoberfest is a can’t miss party. As the largest street party in the Rockies, it features over three dozen food and beer vendors, traditional German dancing, and German-themed games. Pre-order your commemorative stein and beer tokens before the event here.


Frisco’s Fall Fest features food samples from local restaurants, local and regional art, live music, kids’ activities, and a beer garden. Food and drinks can be purchased using Fest Bucks ($1 each) and can also be redeemed at local restaurants through September 11.


The Breckenridge Wine Classic is a fun event for both wine novices and experts. It features local restaurants, pop-up seminars, outdoor activities, wine and food pairings. Tickets range from $49-$149 and can be purchased here.


The 38th Annual Breckenridge Film Festival features over 70 films, premieres, forums, and parties. Tickets are available online with early bird pricing ending August 31.


Head to South Main Street for Breckenridge Strings, Ciders, and Sours and experience a VIP cider pairing dinner on Friday, a Grand Tasting on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Enjoy cider samples while listening to live bluegrass tunes. Tickets for this popular event can be purchased here.
