Spring into Breckenridge Celebrations
Spring Fever, Easter and Closing Day all combine to make late March through April the pinnacle of springtime fun in Breckenridge. From fan-favorite free concerts to intense athletic competitions, Spring in Breckenridge is one of the most anticipated times of the year, and 2017 is shaping up to be something really special. Our Breckenridge Real Estate office has compiled a list of the featured events, parties and celebrations so don’t have to miss a moment of the fun.
For this month-long festival ushering in warmer and longer days, you wouldn’t think there would be so much snow involved! Well, that’s just part of life in our Colorado High Country. This farewell to winter culminates with on-snow competitions, bluebird days on the mountain, and copious amounts of food and beer. So, don your sunny lenses and ditch those extras layers. It’s time for Spring Fever in Breckenridge! Here’s what we have to look forward to:
GoPro Big Mountain Challenge (3/18):

Hop on the gondola and spend your morning skiing – or at least enough to work up a hearty appetite! Ski down to Sevens Restaurant at the base of Peak 7 to eat all the chili you can handle, each batch created by a local top chef. Make sure you try each one so you can vote for your favorite recipe!
Spring Beer Fest (4/8):
For the 11th year in a row, Spring Beer Fest is gracing the Town of Breckenridge with its presence. Head down to Main St. Station from noon to 5 pm to try delicious concoctions from 35 different craft breweries. Enjoy live music, great food and a designated VIP section. Best après ski ever? Check!
Breck Ascent Series Final Race (4/12):
If you’re looking for a way to burn off all the calories you’re sure to be consuming during Spring Fever, this is it. Join the final hill climb event and get up the mountain any way you can! Just make sure you bring skis or snowboard to get back down.
The Easter Bunny has hidden eggs on Peaks 8 and 9, just in time for our Easter celebration! Head to Breckenridge for an amazing morning of egg-hunting before getting your ski day started. A protected area will be open and monitored for the children to hunt for eggs.
The Imperial Challenge (4/22):
This isn’t your mother’s triathlon! This event features a six mile bike ride followed by an ascent to the top of the T-bar or top of Peak 8. The last leg is easy with a downhill ski competition. Pre-registration is $50, or $60 on-site. The Imperial Challenge is a true bucket-list competition for hardcore athletes!
